Advent Count Down Envelopes

For the most part as you saw the gifts for the Advent Count Down were wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper which was a bunch of smaller scraps.  Yes I save those!  But for the days that were just stickers or a piece of candy...small things I made little envelopes.  Nothing too fancy and of course super simple!

I made three different envelopes...nothing planned and my pictures suck but I think they turned out fine.

Envelope #1
was to hold stickers...I cut a couple of stickers from a sheet and slipped them in envelopes for the two days Gregory will be getting stickers.

I traced a DVD case, cut it out and folded so that one half is a little larger than the other half

I placed glue using a glue stick around the edges

Poor picture but as you can see it's a little Christmas envelope.  After slipping the stickers inside I dabbed a little glue on the lip to close the envelope.

Envelope #2
was to hold Hershey bars.  I did two days of Hershey bars

Again I cut out a rectangle, I folded it in half, cut one side off a little and then cut the corners off of the other side.

I glued the edges again with a glue stick.

I punched a couple of holes in the flap

Here is one (I wrapped the ribbon around the envelope, weaved the ribbon through the punched holes, tied it in a bow and curled the ends w/ a pair of scissors)

I put the holes on top of each other on this one, wrapped the ribbon around this envelope weaved the ribbon through the holes again but this time I just glued the ends down with the glue stick.

Envelope #3
was for a couple of KitKats...Gregory discovered these on Halloween and loves them!

I folded the paper in half an punched holes around the three open sides.  (In hindsight I should have punched holes all the way around...I think it would look better in the end)

I weaved ribbon in and out of the hole punches

Before I closed it up I slipped the KitKat and the slip of paper that has a little message/reminder of the True meaning of Christmas into the envelope.

I punched a single hole in the middle of the closed side...brought both sides of the ribbon together.  Tied them into a bow (They ended up on different sides of the envelope...there are ways to avoid that!) and curled the ends with scissors.

I was pretty excited about the way these little envelopes turned out....maybe I'll stop buying those little Gift Card holders!
